Westmoreland Earns First Victory of the Season Against CCAC

The Westmoreland men's basketball team earned their first victory of the season against CCAC on Saturday afternoon. The wolfpack found themselves down at halftime by a score of 44-35. In the second half, the wolfpack tightened up their defense holding CCAC to only 26 points. Westmoreland battled and fought hard pulling out a 77-70 victory. William Toye and Tanner Colflesh lead the way for the wolfpack. Toye had 22 points and 6 steals while Colflesh had 20 points and 9 rebounds. Kortavion Gatlin also came up big getting 14 rebounds. Free throw shooting was a big key to winning the game for Westmoreland as they made 27 out of 42 with Toye going 10 of 15 and Colflesh 11 for 12 from the charity stripe. Garrett College travels in to town to play the wolfpack for their next game on Sunday at 2pm.
