Basketball Picks Up First Win of the Season

The Westmoreland County Community College men's basketball team took to the court on Friday eveining to take on the Carlow Jv baskestball team.  The Wolfpack found themselves down 35-22 at the half before storming back with 42 point in the second half to win 64-59.  Freshman Cullen Rahuba sealed the win with two free throws with 2.3 seconds left on the clock. This was not only the team's first win of the season, but also marked the first win for Head Coach Scott Morrison.

Freshman Tyler Travillion, Yough, led 4 members of the Wolfpack in double digit points with 17.  Freshman Adam Calderon came next with 14 points, while Brandon Fetter, Greater Latrobe, and Cullen Rahuba, Norwin, added in 10 for the Wolfpack.  Travillion had a double-double in the game adding in 10 rebounds as well.  Freshman Aidan McCormick pulled down 10 boards as well.  Brailyn Ryan and McCormick both had 2 blocks a piece.

The Wolfpack will next take a trip to Montgomery College on Sunday for a 2:30 tip off against the Raptors.
