SAINT VINCENT JV CLAIMS WIN OVER WOLFPACK SOCCER

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - The Westmoreland County Community College men's soccer team hosted fellow county member Saint Vincent College's JV program in a match Tuesday, which was won by the visiting Bearcats.

Saint Vincent scored three times in the first 15 minutes to take control and would build a 5-0 lead by halftime. Aided by a late surge of goals, the Bearcats came away with a 13-0 victory.

Despite the loss, Wolfpack keeper Luke Brummett made 23 saves in goal, including several diving efforts. Another defensive highlight came when Lance McDoniel cleared a ball off the goal line to prevent another score.

Westmoreland is off for a week before returning to the field next Tuesday with a road match at Penn State-Greater Allegheny.
