Wolfpack Fall in First Game of the Season

The Martin Freese era of men's soccer at Westmoreland County Community College got underway yesterday as the team traveled to Potomac State for their first game since October 2021. The catamounts defeated Westmoreland Thursday evening in Westmoreland's, first NJCAA division II match up.

Goalie Jonathan Heveker made 9 saves for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack has put together a 15 man roster for the 2023 season. They are also returning three key members from the 2021 season in Clay Berkebile, Damian Morales, and Tyler Hritz, along with 13 freshmen players.

"While a disappointing start to the season, every player worked extremely hard for the team and themselves. We can take the lessons learned and move forward with the game on saturday,' Said Coach Freese

"Coach Freese, and the rest of the men's team have done an amazing job putting this team together in order to play this season," said athletic Director, Patrick Comer. " Coach Freese was hired late in the summer then he, and our players, went out and found enough players for us to play this season."

The Wolfpack will regroup as they prepare to travel to the College of Southern Maryland Saturday at noon.
