From Coach Freese.

My name is Marty Freese and I am happy to introduce myself to you as the new Head Coach for Westmoreland County Community College.  I am originally from Gainesville, Florida, where I was born and raised. I started playing soccer at 5 years old and it quickly became my sport. I played competitively both at my middle school and high school as well as in a club that competed throughout the southeast. I also played in local matches against the college students attending the University. After school, I decided to join the United States Navy. I was able to travel and continue to play soccer with the base teams and participated in military and international competitions in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Germany, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. It was an amazing experience to get to travel the world while playing the sport that I have always loved. After my service, I returned to Florida. I coached for the same traveling club teams for which I had played. I also coached for Bronson High School and volunteered to assist other local programs at various levels. The experience I gained coaching at these schools was invaluable. I was able to establish high school programs for several schools and grew them into winning programs that drew students to the sport. As a lifelong learner, I have several degrees including a Bachelors in Sports and Health Sciences with a concentration in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from American Military University.

I am looking forward to building an inclusive and successful program and beginning our winning tradition.
