Cross Country With Impressive Showing at Bethany

The men's and women's cross country teams took a trip down to Bethany College in West Virginia to take part in the Bethany Invitational on Saturday. Westmoreland was the only Junior College to take part in this event, that was loaded with NCAA division II schools.

The course contained plenty of hills, but that did not stop the Wolfpack from logging some very good times early in the season. Westmoreland ran three members of his women's team in this event, Larissa Vozar, Brynne Davis, and Ryleigh Kelley. For all three freshmen this was their first ever 6K, and all three finished exceptionally well in the NCAA division II heavy field. Vozar was the first to finish for the Wolfpack what's the time of 30:14. Followed shortly behind by Davis who finished in 30:56. Kelley, running in her first event of the season, log a very respectable time of 33:50.

Sophomore Dante Frescura was the first member of the Wolfpack men's team to cross the line, finishing in 38th place with the time of 28:49. Freshmen Frank Benko (30:19) and Joe Barrick (31:21), running in their first 8K, came in next finishing in 59th and 64th places.
