Wolfpack Take on the Mountie Invitational

Beautiful Saturday morning the Westmoreland County Community College cross country teams traveled to Cresson Pennsylvania take part in the Mt Aloysius Cross Country Invitational. 

The rolling Hills on the 5k course made for a very competitive meet. On the women's side for members of the Wolfpack took part in the meet with two of them finishing in the top 10. Larissa Vozar, placing 8th overall with the time of 24:34, and Savanna Orner placing 9th with the time of 24:49 to lead the way for the Wolfpack. Makayla Lander was next for the Wolfpack placing 13th in a time of 26:49. Rounding out the women's team was sophomore Brynne Davis who finished in 20th place with a time of 27:53.

On the men's side, Robbie Halinka continues to build on his impressive sophomore season with his second top 10 finish the season, placing 7th in a time of 19:09. Andy Petrazzi was the next member of the Wolfpack to cross the line with a time of 21:21, and the final member of the Wolfpack to break the tape was Jon Kiggins  with a finish of 24:20, which was his best time of the season.

The Wolfpack now have three weeks off to continue to get healthy and stronger before they travel to La Roche College for their next meet, which will be their final invitational of the season before they compete in the Region 20/WPCC Championships here at Westmoreland on October 28th, in hopes of making it to their first NJCAA Division II National Championship.
