FIVE WOLFPACK EARN WPCC HONORS

YOUNGWOOD,PA- Five Westmoreland County Community College softball players earned All-WPCC honors through voting by the conference's head softball coaches. 

Sophomore Brianna McCully, sophomore Alexis McKnight, sophomore Hope Hixson, sophomore Chelsey Frock, and freshman Megan Monzo were the recipients of the All-WPCC recognition. 

McCully had a .500 batting average and 25 hits this season, including three doubles to tie for second in the region. She also had 19 RBI in the season. 

McKnight led the Wolfpack softball team with a batting average of .560 with 28 hits. She also led the team and the region with 23 RBI. 

Hixson led the team with 18 runs scored this season and also led the team in doubles with six, while posting a batting average of .455. Lastly, she had 48 strikeouts with four wins and seven complete games as a pitcher this season. 

Frock tied with McCully with 19 RBI. She also had 18 hits with a .450 batting average and tied for fourth place in runs scored in the region(14).

Monzo had a batting average of .476 this season. Despite playing in only seven games, she also had 10 hits with 10 runs and hit one home run and a triple. 

Westmoreland County Community College finished 7-8 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The Wolfpack softball team is back in action May 10th and 11th at the District H tournament.
