Softball Plays Two with CCAC
The Westmoreland County Community College Softball team finally got back on the field to take on CCAC in a double header Monday night.
In game one, Westmoreland jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The CCAC took advantage off Westmoreland's inexperience and scored 18 unanswered runs in the 18-2 loss. Emily BAUER, Aimee Eutsey, Emma Mullet, and Autumn White each collected a hit a piece. Emma Mullet had a double for her hit.
In game two, the Wolfpack showed resiliency taking a 2-2 score into the 5th inning. CCAC scored 4 runs in the top of the fifth, and Westmoreland answered with one in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-3 final. Emma Mullett added two more hits in game two, one of them being a triple. Autumn White added her second hit of the day as well. Emily Bauer was on the mound for game two and allowed 2 earned runs over her five innings of work. Emma Mullett got the 1, 2, 3 sixth inning to close it out.
The Wolfpack will be back on the field Thursday afternoon at Penn Highlands for a double header starting at 3pm.
