Softball Plays Two with CCAC

The Westmoreland County Community College Softball team finally got back on the field to take on CCAC in a double header Monday night.

In game one, Westmoreland jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  The CCAC took advantage off Westmoreland's inexperience and scored 18 unanswered runs in the 18-2 loss.  Emily BAUER, Aimee Eutsey, Emma Mullet, and Autumn White each collected a hit a piece.  Emma Mullet had a double for her hit.

In game two, the Wolfpack showed resiliency taking a 2-2 score into the 5th inning.  CCAC scored 4 runs in the top of the fifth, and Westmoreland answered with one in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-3 final.  Emma Mullett added two more hits in game two, one of them being a triple.  Autumn White added her second hit of the day as well.  Emily Bauer was on the mound for game two and allowed 2 earned runs over her five innings of work.  Emma Mullett got the 1, 2, 3 sixth inning to close it out.

The Wolfpack will be back on the field Thursday afternoon at Penn Highlands for a double header starting at 3pm.
