Westmoreland falls twice to Penn Highlands

Westmoreland County Community College took to their home Field Wednesday afternoon to play host to Penn highlands for a doubleheader. Game one was Westmoreland's best game so far this season, unfortunately the offense was not able to keep up with the black bears. As the game slip away in a 7-0 loss to Penn Highlands Community College. 
 
Makayla Boda took the loss for Westmoreland. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out two.
 
The Wolfpack racked up four hits on the day.  Ruby Rojas and Adelaide Flanders each had multiple hits for Westmoreland. Rojas also stole he team leading 5th stolen base.
 
 
Game two saw the Wolfpack fall behind early and couldn't come back in a 20-3 loss to Penn Highlands Community College. 
 
Makayla Boda started game two, and took the loss for Westmoreland. The pitcher went three innings, allowing 5 earned runs on seven hits and striking out two. Sydney Matijevic pitched the finial two innings allowing three earned runs on four hits.
 
The Wolfpack saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game.  Paige Klinger and Ruby Rojas each collected multiple hits for Westmoreland. Chloe Trice and Leah Herman both collected a hit each as well. Herman stole two bases, and Rojas and Klinger both stole a base each.
 
Next up for the Wolfpack will be games at home, Friday and Saturday Vs Butler and CCAC to end the season.
