Cold start but strong finish for women's basketball

After a rather dismal first half, the WCCC women's basketball team found their stride in the second half and finished off Penn State Dubois 51-38. It was the defensive efforts of Brittaney Williams, Wendi Walsh and Julia Novotny who shut down the Lions 3 point shooters and did not allow a single 3 pointer in the game. Top scores for the Wolfpack were Devon Larkin with 21 pts, Wendi Walsh 11 pts and Julia Novotny 9 pts. Up next for the Wolfpack will be a WPCC road game Saturday at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville in which the ladies look to improve on their 10-5 record.
