Wolfpack Women Stay on Top

YOUNGWOOD, Pa – For the fourth week in a row, the Westmoreland County Community College Bowling teams showed out with strong series around the board.

On the women's side, Ashleigh Walker and Jaquie Thompson came out of the gates ready to rock. Jaquie started her day with a solid 114 game but fell down the scoreboard with a second game of 96. But that second game didn't stop Jaquie from coming back with a strong 115 to even out her day. She ended with 325 series giving her seventh place for the week.

Ashleigh Walker began her day with a typical 177 game. She bumped up her score by 10 with a second game of 187 and finished her day with a solid 180 game. Walker ended with a 544 series and a first place finish for the week. Ashleigh still holds onto the overall 1 seed for the women and has accumulated a total of eight conference points for the Wolfpack.

For the men, Sophomore Austin Douglas started his day with a solid 136 game. In his second game Douglas dipped below average with a 124 second game. But bad games haven't stopped Douglas in the past and they definitely don't stop him now. For the second week in a row Austin has broken his season high game. Last week he bowled a high game of 175 but he destroyed that score this week with a season-best 182 game.

Douglas finished the day with a 442 series, giving him the fifth spot for the week and sixth place overall for the league. CCAC's Joseph Mackowiak still leads the boards in the one seed with an impressive series of 726.

The Pack is back in action this Friday March 5th at Main Bowling for their fifth match of the season.
