Bowling Takes on the Country at the NJCAA National Championships

Friday and Saturday, the men's and women's bowling teams travelled to Buffalo New York's Airport Lanes, to take on the best Junior College bowlers in the country at the 2023 NJCAA National Championships.

The Women's team placed 12th overall as a team.  Ashleigh Walker was the top all events standings finisher, placing 38th, with a 168 average.  Lane Fischer averaged 152, and was next for the Wolfpack in 50th place.  Fischer was followed closely by Chryseis Smith, Alexei Rosendale, and Hannah DeStefano in 61st, 65th, and 66th places.  The ladies team totaled 10,468 pins over the course of their 21 games.

On the men's side, the Wolfpack placed 17th overall.  In their 21 games they amassed 11,703 total pins.  Ian Sonny was the top place finisher for the men's team, placing 47th with a 193 average.  Ben Coleman and Chaz Lankey, were in 50th and 53rd place, averaging 190 and 188 for all games bowled.  Braydon Patton and Ethan Sisk rounded out the Wolfpack with 90th and 106th place finishes overall.

This was a great season for the wolfpack that saw WPCC Championships, a Region 20 Championship on the men's side, and the WPCC Coach of the year.  Good luck to those who are moving on from the program, and congratulations on your successes here!  For those who are returning, we are excited to see what the future holds for next season.
