Bowling Impressive in Season Debut

Friday afternoon saw the kickoff of the 2024 season for the Westmoreland County Community College men's and women's bowling teams. They traveled to Coral Lanes to take on WPCC rivals CCAC and Penn Highlands.

The women's team saw 4 members of the team take part in the first match of the year. Sophomore Lane Fischer placed second overall to CCAC's Ashley Pferffercorn. Lane had a game high 166 in her 402 series. Grace Fischer placed third overall for the Wolfpack with a 399 series. In fourth place for the Wolfpack was Taylor Sathornkich with a 380 series. Rounding out the women's team was Freshman Faith Shean. Faith bowled a 305 series which was good enough for seventh place overall.

On the men's side sophomore Ethan Sisk was the top finisher for the Wolfpack. He had a game high 163 game on route to a 476 series and a seventh place finish. Freshman Camden Wright bowled a 377 series, and placed eighth overall.

The Wolfpack will be right back at it on Tuesday as they travel to 814 Lanes and Games in Johnstown to play in the match hosted by Penn Highlands at 1pm.
