Women's Cross Country Wins WPCC

Fall weather flexed its muscles but that didn't stop freshman runner Gina Mattei as she braved the wind and cold and went on to win the 2015 WPCC Women's Cross Country Championships. Mattei and teammate Chelsea Waltemath ran step for step until the last mile when Gina pulled away for good. Waltemath finished runner-up and helped WCCC secure the 2015 women's team team title. The women have their sights sets on regionals next weekend at Hagerstown Community College and the hopes of earning a trip to the 2015 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Massachusetts's on November 7.
