Four Wolfpack Earn Honors at Region XX Meet

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - In their final race before NJCAA Championships, the second-ranked Westmoreland County Community College women's cross country team had the top two finishers and four earned All-Region at the Region XX Championship meet, hosted Saturday by Hagerstown Community College.

There were no team results for any of the women's divisions at the race, so runners were only scored as individuals.

And the first two individuals to come across the finish line Saturday were from the Wolfpack, led by Jenn Depree, who took the individual title when she broke the tape in 23:27.3. Taking second place in the 5K race and also earning All-Region was Olivia Jumper, who came across with a time of 24:26.8.

Two other Wolfpack runners competed Saturday and came away with All-Region accolades, with Molleigh Henderson earning sixth place in a time of 26:38.1 and Chelsey Gasparovic finishing in eighth place.

Westmoreland is off this coming weekend before planning to travel to the 2020 NJCAA Championships. They will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14th and hosted by Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Wolfpack women will run in the Division III race at noon Central time that day.
