Rubino and Henderson Run at Nationals
This past Saturday two members of the women's cross country team competed at the NJCAA National Championships in Milledgeville Georgia. Anna Rubino and Molleigh Henderson both set season best times, with Rubino setting a personal best time.
Anna finished in 27th place with a personal best time of 22:29. "Anna made huge strides this fall compared to last year, she beat her PR by 34 seconds," said Coach Comer.
Henderson, who will be graduating in the spring, finished in 78th place with a season best time of 26:36. "I am going to miss Molleigh tremendously," said Comer. "She has been a leader on this team, and an amazing student the last two years."
This was the second National Championship appearance for both ladies. "Next fall we hope to have Anna back for one last go at it, and we are looking to build around her, a team that will compete for a national title, like last year," said Comer.
